Twenty-Nine years ago I began my career in education as the 4th and 5th grade Language Arts teacher in Dumas, Tx. My journey included being an elementary principal and counselor in Boise City and Vega, and working as a counselor in Stratford and Hereford before coming to Boys Ranch. I graduated from the University of North Texas in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I completed a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In 2016, I received a Doctorate of Education with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership for Effective Schools from Grand Canyon University. I have two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a new grandson. I also have a fur baby named Hoot. I enjoy reading, running (if you can call it that), playing piano, an occasional game of tennis, snow skiing, and spending time with my family and friends. I am thrilled to have the honor of serving as the High School Counselor for Boys Ranch!!
