All the world's a stage,
and all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts.
(As You Like It)
It is my pleasure to be back at Boys Ranch for my 30th year of teaching in the public school system. Each year seems to be better than the last one.
I attended Lexington Senior High School, and after a tour of Europe started my higher level academic education at Western Carolina University. I moved to Texas and attended Amarillo College, and graduated from West Texas University. My degrees are in Art and Special Education. I achieved recognition in Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities.
While I attended West Texas University I fell in love with the Gifted and Talented program, and taught students from around the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandle area. I was also Coordinator of Handicapped Services, and had a museum internship at the Panhandle Plains Museum.
My strength: My willingness to take on any challenge. (Do whatever it takes to get the job done.)
My weakness: I am deathly afraid of snakes.
My pleasures: Photography, art, gardening, reading, hiking, camping, fishing, horses, looking up at the stars, walking in the rain, and working at Boys Ranch.
My favorite things: My house Glendale, my new resident Poe the peacock, my pups, and my good friends.
