BRISD Boys’ basketball team made school history this season, advancing to the Regional Finals for the first time and capping off what has been an exciting and memorable run. Powered by a talented and youthful roster, the team showed remarkable growth throughout the season. Game after game, the players demonstrated strong talent, resilience, and a commitment to teamwork that helped propel them deep into the postseason.

Their historic run ended in a hard-fought Regional Finals matchup against a tough Valley team with two 6’10” post players that ultimately advanced to the state championship game. Despite the narrow loss, the team led most of the game and battled until the final buzzer, showcasing the determination and grit that defined their season. With many underclassmen contributing key minutes, the future looks bright for the program.

More than anything, the team gave the school community a season to remember. Their energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit made every game exciting to watch and brought plenty of pride to the school.

While the Regional Finals loss marked the end of this year’s journey, it also set a new standard—and a strong foundation—for the seasons ahead.  Proud of our ROUGHRIDERS!
